...of the Apocalypse was my first relief in oak.
It is in heart of oak, and I was fortunate in my choice of material.
It was so easy to work with. True enough, many years of carving woodcuts had taught me the techniques, but working on this relief was truly liberating – a new phase in my artistic production.
The theme is taken from the Book of Revelation.

Now the USA is there with its bomber planes.
There is no peace for the poor people of Afghanistan...”
