wall scrolls in ink
Helicopters made of ink, smashed, popped apart – some looks like lousy tulips.
Torsten Jurell made them in Beijing last summer, the second time he rented a studio there.
They have a sub-title ”Afghanistan clash” and they are mounted as traditional Chinese wall scrolls.
The
print below is a part of a big project Torsten Jurell is working on as a project
student at The Royal University College of Fine Art, Stockholm, Sweden.
At Konstforum, he will show some of them. When the series is finished,
it will be a ”traveling story” from The Lower World. Read more..
