PAINTING
IS AN ART FORM that Torsten Jurell has always devoted himself to, side
by side with his print works and sculpture – frequently as variations
on a common theme. The artist also paints on wood and bronze. Oils,
tempera – and casein tempera, too, nowadays – on canvas.
Acrylics, ink, crayon, chalk and water colours on paper.
RELIEFS AND SCULPTURES are painted in the same way. Kaolin, a form of china clay,
is often used as a white pigment on the sculptures... |
